Sights and Colors of 2014 Notting Hill Carnival

The cold, the wind and of cos the rains did not stop the crowd from enjoying the 2014 Notting Hill Carnival rave this year. The carnival believed to be Europe’s biggest street party delivered the extreme in all things it stands for; the crowd, music and the latest tweaking styles. Oh sorry, one of the participants from Trinidad says you don’t tweak in carnival, you whine. This year’s event paid tribute to the steel pan, the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago. Where else in the world can you get 40 sound systems on a street other than in London. Where else in the world can you find over half a million people partying on the street without violence, rioting or looting breaking out? Only in London. Thumbs up to the Met Police, they were everywhere but nowhere near your fun. The Metropolitan Police says it deployed 7,000 officers for the Monday event. This is the only official time and place you are allowed to expose 90% of your body without feeling embarrassed. Just as usual, even after 50 years, the 2014 Notting Hill Carnival did not disappoint.
What do you beef/love about the carnival?image image imageimage image image image
